Jen’s first foray into theatre occurred in junior high school. In high school, she was consistently awarded the coveted "Directors Award" for her efforts in directing and stage management.

In 2002, Jen completed a two-year multi-disciplinary conservatory program at Seattle’s Northwest Actors Studio. Jen has also studied with several prominent Seattle theater artists; including Anthony Curry, Marya Sea Kaminski, Gin Hammond, David Quicksall and Robin Lynn Smith. In 2005 she completed the Meisner Progression, a nine-month program at Freehold, one of Seattle’s most respected actor training studios.

Jen has also been a founding member of two local production companies: Paper Trail Productions and Work It Productions (a Shunpike Partner Artist). With Paper Trail, she wrote and produced an original full-length play "Hands", which premiered at the Northwest Actors Studio in September of 2006.
